Air Quality Mx (hereinafter, “the Application”) is an application developed by Vlad Mx. This page informs you about our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal information when you use our Application.

1. Information Collection and Use

For a better experience while using our Application, any information you provide will be kept exclusively on your device and will not be collected, stored, or processed by us on external servers.

Location Data: The Application may request access to your approximate and precise location (GPS). This data is used exclusively to determine the air quality monitoring station closest to your current position and to display it on the built-in map. This data is processed ephemerally on the device and is neither stored on our servers nor shared with third parties.

Wellness Assistant (Manual Data): When using the Health/Wellness Assistant, you can voluntarily and manually set up a profile (e.g., Child, Elderly, Athlete) and mark specific sensitivities (asthma, allergies).

  • Local Privacy: This information is stored only in your device's local memory to personalize preventive advice.
  • No System Access: The Application does not access biometric data, heart rate, steps, or the system's health apps (Apple Health, Google Health Connect, or HealthKit).
  • No Date of Birth: The Application does not request or use your date of birth; the profile is set up manually on the device.

Strict Privacy: This data is processed only locally on your device. We do not store your health data on external servers, we do not share it with third parties, and we do not use it for advertising or commercial purposes. You can revoke access at any time from the Application or Operating System settings.

Usage Data: We may collect anonymous information about how you interact with the Application (navigation events) to improve the stability and performance of the service.
Technical Data: For alerts to work, the Application uses unique device identifiers (Firebase FCM Token). This data is used exclusively to enable notifications about critical pollution changes and is not associated with your personal identity.

We use Google Firebase (Firebase Cloud Messaging) to manage real-time notification delivery. Google may process technical device information to ensure the delivery of these messages. You can review Google's privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy.

3. Notifications

The Application processes data from air quality sensors to issue alerts based on AQI (Air Quality Index) levels. These alerts are generated automatically and are communicated to the user through push notifications to protect their health during episodes of high pollution.

4. Cookies

Cookies are files with a small amount of data that are commonly used as anonymous unique identifiers. This Application does not explicitly use “cookies.” However, the app may use third-party code and libraries that use “cookies” to collect information and improve their services.

5. Security

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information, so we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect it. But remember that no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure and reliable.

6. Links to Other Sites

This Application may contain links to other sites. If you click on a third-party link, you will be directed to that site. Note that these external sites are not operated by us.

7. Children's Privacy

This Application is suitable for all audiences (Rated 9+). Although we allow setting up a “Child” profile to adapt preventive advice, we do not collect or request personal data, dates of birth, or identifiers from minors. All profile configuration is manual, local, and private.

No HealthKit or Health Connect: The Application no longer uses HealthKit (iOS) or Health Connect (Android) to detect or read any health data and does not access the system's health apps. We also do not request any user's date of birth. We do not collect or store personal data from children under 13 on our servers; the “Child” profile is only a local configuration on the device.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We update our Privacy Policy to reflect improvements in data protection (v3.9: Removal of system health data access). You are advised to review this page periodically.
